Round thirteen of the MXGP was held at Semarang 7-8 July 2018, a brand new circuit on the North Coast of the island of Java. Lewis Stewart lined up with the worlds best motocross racers for two weeks in a row as the MXGP travelled to Indonesia for two rounds of the championship. Originally from Ararat, Western Victoria, Lewis Stewart can be considered a hard pack specialist, and he did not disappoint qualifying fifteenth for Sunday’s racing, granting him fifteenth gate pick for both motos. The hardpack red clay became very blue groove and technical in the warm conditions, which was an advantage to Lewis Stewart finishing fourteenth in moto 1. In moto 2, Lewis Stewart finished in eighteenth, with an overall of eighteenth for the GP round on his Husqvarna. Lewis Stewart after two rounds is ranked 29th in the MXGP Championship Standings.
