EUROPE. Is there a party at Cairoli headquarters at the moment? Jeffery Herlings has had a pracy crash and broken his collarbone and a couple of ribs, now looking at the MXGP Race Calander it is a guess at how many races Herlings will miss.

In his second year in the ‘big boy class’ Herlings has had a domination which has blown out to a 62 point led against KTM teammate and nine-time world champion Tony Cairoli. The FIAT Professional MXGP of Lombardia (I) is scheduled for this weekend and Herlings has stated that he won’t be on the start gate, can Cairoli take advantage and claw in the gap? The next issues for Herlings will be the doubleheader in Indonesia, will the collarbone be strong enough, he has ridden with a broken femur before in the MX2 Class, however, will he line up? I dare say it will all depend on who wins on the weekend, a 1-1 victory for Cairoli will put him 12 points behind Herlings, a lucky break the Italian and defending World Champ definitely needed.

MXGP of Indonesia is set for 01 July and the MXGP of Asia (Indonesia) is set for the 8th.

Red Bull KTM Factory rider Jeffrey Herlings will miss the Italian Grand Prix after breaking his collarbone and two ribs today in a practice crash. More later.

Herlings will have surgery to repair a break to his right collarbone after a crash while practising at Berghem in Holland today.

The 23-year-old is scheduled for a procedure at renowned surgeon Dr Claes’ clinic in the next few hours to fix a fracture near a plate that was inserted for a previous injury.

It is extremely likely that the winner of 8 from 10 Grands Prix this season will miss this weekend’s Lombardia round at Ottobiano in Italy but then has a two-week break before the Grand Prix of Indonesia on July 1st.
