Australian Caleb Grothues has been unable to ‘get the monkey’ off his back in the EMX250. Placed into the last chance qualifying race, Grothues started hovering around the 11th and 12th before advancing to tenth place on lap four before everything came unstuck and dropping down to twenty-eighth place before regrouping and advancing and finishing out the moto in twenty-second place.
