AUSTRALIA, VICTORIA. A really good idea, a 10% discount for MA on Supercross Tickets for round 3 at Geelong (and a thorn in the side for Geelong Motocross Community which has no racing venue since Breakwater and Barrabool venues closed years ago). It would be nice if the idea could be utilised more, as in any MA licence holder to receive a discount or even free entry when displaying their MA licence card (heck with the price of a race licence per year there has to be an added bonus) when entering the venue as a spectator (obviously not to include grandstands, VIP etc, just the waiver of the ‘door charge’). Unfortunately, this great sport of Motorcycle Racing is stuck in a rut of preaching to the converted, for any motorcycle sport to receive any mainstream media (Major Newspapers and Television) attention seems to be when an athlete has something wrong or is injured. Everyone needs to learn how awesome this sport is, the fitness and mental strength required and put a hard foot stomp on the negativity associated with social motorcycling in Australia, which Legislators seem to create laws based on an American hit TV show.
