It is with deep sadness to bring to light the passing of Western Australian Motocross Athlete Rhys Burnett.

A message from Motorcycling Western Australia President and CEO.

​Motorcycling Western Australia, WAMX and the Manjimup Motorcycle Club would like to thank all that helped on Sunday at the WAMX State Round held at the Manjimup Motorcycle club.

Sadly one of our own riders was fatally injured during the 3rd MX2 race of the day.

A special thanks to the first on the scene and to the first responders who supported the rider.

Our deepest thoughts and condolences go out to Rhys Burnett’s family and friends in this most difficult time.

Rhys was a much-loved member of the motocross community.

At this difficult time many people may be finding it hard to cope so please ask for help, we have a counsellor who is available to anyone requiring assistance.
