Tough Day in the Office for Aussies in Latvia

Round 9 of the MXGP Saturday 15th June 2019 at Keygums Latvia. The sand challenged all riders but unfortunately for Queensland’s Mitch Evans, the sand has bitten hard. Placing 12th in the Free Practice, it was during the Timed Practice where things come unstuck. Evan’s set the 11th fastest time before returning to the pit lane and rode off carrying his left arm and did not start the Qualifying Race.

Tasmanian/Victorian Jed Beaton set the 15th fastest time in Free Practice and set the 12th quickest time in Timed Practice. Beaton worked his way from the back of the field to 26th in the Qualifying Race which will give him 26th gate pick for Sunday’s racing.
