Aussies fight a stiff breeze Day 1 in Teutschenthal


Day 1, Round 10 of the World Motocross Championships at Teutschenthal, Germany. In the MX2 Australians Mitch Evans and Jed Beaton dealt with Mother Natures Elements of Partly Cloudy 24 Degrees with challenging winds of 18km/s which blew competitors offline while navigating specific jumps, rough, deep ruts hindered some riders while helping others navigate the 1590 metre circuit.

In Free Practice, Jed Beaton set the seventh fastest time of 1:54.159 while Mitch Evan set the tenth fastest time of 1:54.870.

In Time Practice, Mitch Evans set the second fastest time (1:52.364) giving him second gate pick for the Qualifying Race, while Jed Beaton set the fourth fastest time (1:52.888) for fourth gate pick for the Qualifying Race.

Qualifying Race, Mitch Evans powered his 114 Motorsports Honda home for a third-place finish, his fastest lap was 1:53.879, and third gate pick for both motos Sunday. Jed Beaton powered his Rockstar Energy Husqvarna to a seventh-place finish after a hectic final two laps dicing with 3 riders, his fastest lap was 1:54.410. Jed will have seventh gate pick for both motos Sunday.
