The 2021 Dakar Prologue has been completed in Saudi Arabia Sunday 03 January.
After the 129 kilometres, Australian Rookie Daniel Sanders has set the third fastest time on his Factory KTM of 6’14”. Toby Price set the ninth fastest time of 6’24” on his Factory KTM. Rookie Micheal Burgess clocked the thirty-ninth fastest time 7’15” on his BAS Dakar KTM. Rookie Andrew Houlihan set the ninety-seventh fastest time 13’47” on his Nomadas Adventure machine after receiving a time penalty of 5 minutes. An electronic gremlin in the mapping system caused Andrew to miss two waypoints which caused the official time penalty of 5 minutes.
