It was a first in a while that I missed the Shipwreck Coast 2 Day Open. A friend had purchased tickets to ‘A Day on the Green’ so the motocross racing had to be put on the back burner. That didn’t stop KJ from looking at the results thou, and the Facebook feed has been lighting up with awesome photos and supportive comments on this years Open.
Looks like Bailey Malkiewicz is at home on the DHP Husky, in the Senior Lites A he won 3 out of the 4 races for the Overall and had a clean sweep winning all races on the 450cc in the Senior Open A. Glad to see that Bailey has a ride for 2019, the 2018 Junior 125cc World Champ was sitting on the fence without a ride not that long ago.
Danielle Foot dominated the Ladies winning all her races, not bad for a chick that has spent a year in the Enduro world.
Daniel Horton won the Vets being undefeated all weekend.
Ricky Chalmers went undefeated all weekend in the Junior 250cc A Grade and the 125cc A Grade.
Tasmanian Jett Burgess-Stevens made the trip winning a moto, placing second in two races and an eighth saw the Tassie lad claim the overall.
Jake Sanderson was also undefeated in the 85SW A Grade.
Tasmanian Jay Jennings claimed the 65cc A Grade victory.
Connor Guillot was the 50cc Open Champion.
Colleen Square has some images on the ‘Warrnambool Moto X Pic’s’ facebook page.
