AUSTRALIA, VICTORIA, WODONGA. It has been a great return to racing for Victorian Kale Makeham after spending a year off due to injury. After breaking his femur at the Tasmanian Straight Rythum Supercross a few years ago (2016) the 24-year-old, ex-Australian Supercross Champion has returned to racing riding as a privateer this season and currently sits in tenth place in the National MX2 Class. Racing the opening round of the Victorian Motocross Championships at Horsham Kale finished third overall for one of his first races back on the bike, Makeham has made a recent change moving from Privateer to stepping in for injured MX2 pilot Jackson Richardson and it is looking like Makeham is back home on the red rocket which he spent some of his junior racing careers on.

“Round 3 of the Vic titles went well for me,” stated Kale Makeham, “I’m not in the championship at all but it was great to get a race under my belt on the Honda before nationals kick back off. My results were 2, 2, 2 with big improvements through each race. My starts weren’t very good but the highlight was logging the fastest lap while catching the leader during moto 3 until unfortunately some poor sportsmanship during a collision with the leader had me remain second but all in all it was a good day and I couldn’t be happier on the Penrite Pirelli CRF Honda!”

Only competing in two of the three rounds run of the 2018 Victorian Motocross Championships, Kale Makeham sit sixth overall.
